Data Discrepancies in Shopify Beta

We wanted to address a couple of data discrepancies that we have found. As you may be aware, our platform is currently in beta and we are actively working to resolve any issues that arise.

We understand that data accuracy is crucial for the success of your business, and we want to assure you that we are taking this matter seriously. The two main reasons for these discrepancies are related to refunds and third-party post-purchase applications that amend existing Shopify orders.

Refunds

Refunds can cause inconsistencies in data when the actual funds have not been returned to the customer. For example, if a customer is issued a refund but the credit card company does not return the funds to the customer, the order will still appear in reporting as paid even though the funds have not been collected.

Post-Purchase Applications

Some post-purchase applications can amend existing Shopify orders. This can lead to discrepancies in reporting since the order no longer matches the original data.

Next Steps

We want to emphasize that we value transparency in our operations and will keep you updated on any developments as we work to resolve these issues. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to improve and refine our platform to better serve your needs.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team. We are here to assist you in any way we can.
